These spires of blue, with purple feathering, appear in mid to late spring. Each is decorated with dozens half-inch bells encircling the stem. These are Spanish Bluebells, similar to the poet's bluebells of English countryside fame but flowering in a lighter shade of blue on straighter stems, displaying wider bells and thriving in either sun or shade. Growing 14-18" tall, these add sought-after height, plus blue, pink and white hues, to spring arrangements.
