Most rain lilies are either pink or white. Citrina flowers are a soft, sunny yellow. While hard to find, these zephyranthes are just as easy to grow as the other varieties. Come late August and early September these lemon beauties usher in autumn's colors sweetly. We can't get these every year - snag a few while they are available.
Rain lilies or Zephyr lilies originate in several countries in South America. Their carefree demeanor has allowed them to naturalize in parts of Asia, South Africa and Queensland. Perhaps your side yard can be next?
