On a recent visit to one of our Midwest peony grower's fields, White Eagle was blooming. Talk about smitten! Big, beautiful blooms, a rich, sweet fragrance and thick, strong stems that stood tall even after a legendary season of rain (and flooding.) If peonies grew well in SoCal, we'd be digging out the bougainvillea to make a place for this top flight performer.
