We visited one of our Midwest peony growers and in their drenched, almost flooded fields, White Eagle was blooming. Talk about smitten! Big, beautiful blooms, a rich, sweet fragrance and thick, strong stems that held the flowers upright even after a crazy rainy season. If peonies grew well in SoCal, we'd be digging out the bougainvillea to make a place for this top flight performer.
Stock on this variety is limited this spring. Just a heads up.
