One of the newer coral peonies, Pink Hawaiian Coral's semi-double blossoms open with more red coloring than others in this group and then lightens to peachy pink. These flower petals have ruffled edges giving the flowers a fuller look and making the yellow stamen less prominent. Lightly fragrant and early to bloom.
Pink Hawaiian Coral has earned the American Peony Society's Gold Medal, the highest award given by this venerable organization. Criteria for gold metal status focuses on garden performance (not exhibition bench traits) - outstanding blooms, vigorous plants and peony bushes that look good all season.
