We love this peony for it's originality, ability to perform in such a wide range of climates and, of course, for it's sensational looks. Do Tell is a Japanese form peony, with a row of cupped pink petals framing wavy stamen in gold and hot pink. The flowers mature to almost white so the plant offers several colors at once. If the peony word had a punkish rock star, Do Tell would certainly be a contender.
We offer a number of peonies that have been awarded the Gold Medal by the American Peony Society, the national organization that knows peonies best. This award is bestowed upon one cultivar annually, a variety that demonstrates dependable performance across a wide range of growing sites, good plant habit (stem strength, fullness and attractive foliage throughout the season) and, of course, flower beauty. Do Tell is an American Peony Society Gold Medal Winner.
