Huckleberry Gold is a new variety of potato, introduced in 2011 by the renowned University of Idaho's breeding program. This cultivar produces medium tubers sporting vibrant purple skins and golden flesh. A favorite multi-purpose variety, Huckleberry Gold is excellent baked, boiled or fried. This potato produces tubers a bit smaller than those of the familiar Yukon Gold, and with significantly higher levels of antioxidants.
Potatoes can be grown in the garden, in tubs, half whiskey barrels, horticultural fabric bags and other large containers - use your imagination!
