Blue is the favorite shade of hydrangea flowers for many people and All Summer Beauty produces blooms in a stunning blue when grown in acidic soil and lavender to magenta in basic soils. This variety flowers earlier in the season than others and continues right through to fall, earning its name. All Summer Beauty is a bigleaf hydrangea, part of the "mophead" group, so called because of their large, showy, rounded blooms. Great for cutting.
All Summer Beauty blooms on old (last year's growth) and new (current season growth) wood. This results in both more flowers and ensures blooms even after a severe winter that may damage the prior year's flower buds.
