Looking for the largest hydrangea flower heads anywhere? Meet Phantom! This tall, upright hydrangea has strong stems and flowers that will wow the neighbors. If you've yet to hear of this landscape wonder, that's because it wasn't bred by one of the horticultural powerhouses with big marketing budgets. Sneak out ahead of the crowd and get your's this season. Like most other paniculata hydrangeas, Phantom's blooms start our apple green, lighten to white and deepen to pink in the fall. Phantom is an excellent choice for oversized cut and drying flowers.
Your've seen dried hydrangea blooms used in arrangements, in their natural state or spray painted gold, silver or white. This is a great variety for that! Harvest in early to mid fall when flower heads are beginning to dry naturally and bring indoors. Best flower production is on plants sited where they receive about a half day or more of direct sun.
