If you've been surprised by blooming clumps of white flowers in mid to late winter, odds are good these are what you observed. Snowdrops are early, easy, perennial and reliably hardy.
The flowers close on cloudy days and appear as oval pearls. When sunny, the petals open wide, taking on a winged appearance. Snowdrops form clumps of sparkling blooms, here and there, given a few seasons. Just when you think winter will carry on forever, there they are, with their nodding white flowers. Always welcome.
This is a Leafari staff tested and recommended variety.
