Dahlia Fuzzy Wuzzy is almost a cartoon-like dahlia with an impossibly bright pink and crisp white pattern that makes everyone smile. We grew this variety and did a test, creating a simple bouquet with 4 to 5 dahlia varieties and handing one to a half dozen friends, family members and neighbors. Every single recepient pointed out Fuzzy Wuzzy . . "is that real?", "did you paint that one?" and "how'd you do that?" were some of the comments. Really, couldn't you have fun with some of these vivid flowers to share? Tip: pinch/cut out the initial bud that appears; just snipped down to the first pair of leaves to encourage bushiness and more blooms for this variety.
Dahlia tubers can be saved, divided and shared. Click on the Dahlia Planting Guide button, right, for details and growing tips.
