Winter is a time when, for flowers, more is simply more. Fully double amaryllis deliver that extra and Rainbow flowers after the earliest amaryllis have wrapped up their shows. Substantial petals are brushed with pinks and soft rose red, and rolled back to produce wide-faced beauties. Nice big 30-32+cm bulbs typically produce two flower stems with multiple blooms on each. Grow Rainbow in a sturdy pot to help manage the big, heavy blooms.
Tip: all amaryllis bulbs are not the same. Larger bulbs produce more flower stalks and more blooms per stalk. If you're going to grow beautiful amaryllis, reward yourself with large, plump bulbs that wow.
